I understand that this was a silicone or plastic implant put under the mouse’s skin in an experiment to grow new “skin” for replacement prosthetics in humans. Or something to that effect. I’m pretty sure that there was no genetic manipulation done at least in this experiment. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors now. Especially when the new gene splicing tool CRISPER is cheap easy to use and available to just about anyone who wants to “bio-hack’.
