Former Buffalo Bills running back and Hall Of Fame member Simpson was arrested for the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Simpson was found not-guilty after a lengthy and heavily publicized trial, but was found liable for damages in a later suit.
